Nifty Knitters Begins Again

4-H Nifty Knitters Spin Club will again be meeting at the library

Beginning Feb. 1 you can come to the library to learn to knit.  The 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:45pm there will be 2 leaders available to help those age 8 and up learn how to knit.  You do not currently need to be a 4-H member to take this class.  The cost is $10 and you will need your own set of size 8 or 9 knitting needles, a pair of scissors and practice yarn.  To register, call the 4-H extension office at 526-4551 or sign up at the library.  The class will run through April.

Original Spassfest Cookbook

We were fortunate recently to be given a copy of the original Spassfest Cookbook.  This volume was put together by the ladies of Germantown several years after the first Spassfest took place.  It was hand typed and put together in a 3 ring binder.  We have made a copy to be placed on our shelves and made available for checkout.  If you’ve never seen it or haven’t seen one in years, be sure to come in and have a look or check it out and try a few of the recipes.  It’s sure to bring back fond memories of moms, aunts and grandmas.
