Earth Day 2014

photo

In late April, we were fortunate to have several groups of young people stop by to help beautify the library for Earth Day.  First, a group of junior high students from Germantown Elementary worked outside to sweep up leaves, knock down cobwebs and clean the windows.  Then they came inside and made lots of really creative bookmarks for us.  Later, the Germantown girl scout troop brought a flowering plant to dress up our window.  In the picture above, Miss Perri accepts the flowers from some of the smiling scouts.  It looks like Germantown will be well taken care of by this younger generation.  The library, along with Mother Earth, thanks you all!
