Our first toddler/preschool story time on February 27 was a big hit, so we plan to keep them coming. We’ll meet at 11am on the last Wednesday of each month, so next story time will be March 27. This month’s theme is grandparents and families. We’ll have a couple of short stories and do a simple craft with the kids. No need to call ahead or sign up and no fees involved. If you can join us, please come to the library on March 27 and bring the kiddos in your life ages 1-5.
Illinois and some Federal tax forms and instruction booklets are here. We are still waiting for others. You are welcome to pick up free copies in our lobby. For other forms, to pay online or efile, just go to IRS.gov.
St. Joseph’s Hospital spring health fairs will be held throughout the county in March and April. You can pick up registration forms at the library. They’re due 1 week before the health fair you plan to attend.
The library would like to hold monthly story times for children ages 1-5. This will be free and open to the public. Please spread the word! Our first story time will take place on Wed. Feb. 27 at 11am. A volunteer will read several stories and we’ll have an informal discussion about how often parents/grandparents/caregivers would like to meet and what they’d like to see included. Please bring the youngsters in your life and any ideas you may have.
After nearly 25 years under our original roof, with several hail storms, small leaks and a few replaced shingles, it was time for a new roof on the library. We think it looks pretty good. Here’s to at least 25 more years!

From “Home Alone” to “The Night before Christmas”, from “The Polar Express” to “The Christmas Train”, come check out a special holiday treat from your library.
Our Family Reading Night event is still happening!!! The theme is “Oh the Places You’ll Go…through Reading”.
