Comments closedWith the new school year beginning, we are once again enjoying visits by classes from Germantown Elementary and Siblings Day Care. Â We really do love reading to the kids and helping them find just the right book. Â If you are a student (or have a student) and are wondering how to find Accelerated Reader books at a certain level, thinking about trying eBooks or would like to request items from other Illinois libraries, please let us know if you have questions. Â We’re always glad to help spread the joy of reading!
Comments closedThis Saturday, August 15, the library will be represented in the Spassfest Parade by several of our library trustees. Â Watch for the pickup truck with Germantown Library signs on it and be ready to catch some of the goodies we’ll be tossing. Â Hope to see you there!
Comments closedAs a new school year starts, we’d like to ask all parents to be sure to let us know if you have a new email address, have dropped your home phone, moved, etc. Â We need up-to-date records to be sure we can reach you if your child has a late book or we’ve received a book that your child requested. Â Just email us at gma@gtownlibrary.org or stop in and give us any changes. Â Thanks!
Comments closedWe recently completed shifting our entire adult collection, so if you have trouble locating your favorite author, just ask and we’ll be glad to help. Â We’ve weeded titles that weren’t being read and donated them to St. Joseph’s Hospital for their book sale. Â This allowed us to get most of our adult books off the top and bottom-most shelves, so they’ll be much easier to see and reach. Â We hope you’ll enjoying browsing the collection even more now!
