Family Reading Night

Tonight people all over Illinois celebrate Family Reading Night, a time set aside to turn off electronic devices and curl up with a good book.  Join us here at the library at 7pm as we’ll have stories around the campfire.  You can make a craft, enjoy a snack and be sure to take home some good books to share.  If you can’t come to the library, we hope you can spend a little time reading together with someone you love.

Bookmarks!

bookmarks 10 2015 001

Thanks to some creative 4th graders at Germantown Elementary, we have a slew of new bookmarks for anyone who would like one.  Mr. Glynn recently allowed his class to make bookmarks during art class to donate to us.  We thank him and his class and encourage anyone who feels crafty to make bookmarks and donate them to the library.  Even if you aren’t the creative type, please consider donating your used greeting cards or colored paper for our use in making bookmarks.  Everyone seems to love handmade bookmarks!
